A New Pathway for U19–Adult Men & U18-Adult Female Players in Southeast Minnesota
North Star FC is proud to launch our Men’s and Women’s UPSL teams, providing a true high-performance pathway for players ages U19 through adult who want to compete at the semi-professional level.
The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is one of the fastest-growing leagues in the country and operates in the third tier of the U.S. Soccer pyramid. It serves as a national platform for high-level college players, aspiring professional players, and former elite youth players looking to continue their development in a competitive environment.
Our mission is simple:
Create a local, affordable, professional-level experience that prepares players for the next step—whether that’s college, UPSL Premier, USL League Two, NPSL, or the professional ranks.
Information
Players selected for the UPSL roster will compete in the Spring–Summer 2026 UPSL Season, which includes:

Competitive league matches against top clubs throughout the region

Weekly high-intensity training led by licensed North Star FC UPSL coaches

Access to North Star FC facilities, staff, trainers, and development resources

Access to Rochester Athletic Club
This program is designed to offer an elite, college-friendly competitive environment.
$750 per player for the full UPSL season
This fee includes:

League affiliation & administrative fees

Training apparel (club shirt/top)
North Star FC is committed to making this opportunity accessible.
Players can reduce their UPSL fee by participating in our club work-program, which offers discounts for helping in key areas of club operations.
Eligible roles include:

Kickstarters Coaching
Working with our youngest players (ages 3–5+) -
Recreational Program Support
Coaching, assisting, or helping with game-day operations -
Front Desk Facility Staff
Greeting families, answering questions, supporting daily operations -
Tournament Staff
Field marshaling, set-up/tear-down, registration help, and event support
Players who choose to participate will receive credit toward their UPSL fee, reducing the financial burden while giving back to the North Star FC community.

Cost: $25 / player
Men’s Session: 1:00–2:30 PM
Women’s Session: 3:00–4:30 PM
Players will be evaluated on technical quality, decision-making, athleticism, work rate, and ability to compete in a fast-paced, physical, high-level environment.
